In 1987, client Paul Hairopoulos, then of Computer Intelligence, took Selene and me to The Marine Room. This incredible restaurant and cocktail lounge is perched immediately above the Pacific Ocean in La Jolla CA. There have been a few times during its existence, that the surf has broken through the glass and entered the dining area without a reservation. The seas were calm the evening that we visited, and there were porpoises freely leaping in the distance.
