A small project to honor a Disney Legend

The back of the (4.0" x 6.0") card features a representation of the Magic Kingdom's Main Street U.S.A. window honoring Bob and his legendary Disney achievements.

At EYMER BRAND Laboratories + Think Tank, we work on projects large and small. One day we may be working to develop a visual identity system for a large corporation. The next day a job flies in and out the door before we can even take a second breath. Recently, we were asked by our good friends Paul Schubert and Cindy Matheison-Schubert, to create a memorial card for Cindy's father, Bob Matheison, who sadly past in early January.

Selene and I had the pleasure of meeting Bob while he visited New England. Here is a man who lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed!

Below is a brief synopsis of his incredible career highlights. A link to his full obituary is featured at the end of this post.

  • Disney Legend, radio broadcaster, sports announcer, Highland Cattle rancher, family patriarch Bob Matheison died on January 5, 2020.

  • Following his college graduation from USC and a U.S. Army career, Bob joined The Walt Disney Company in 1960 and worked there until his retirement in February of 1994.
